Right now, it looks like Stu, Me, Ed Cook, Billy Wilson, Brian Bratt, JJ Coyne and Doc Edkin. That's (7) riders, an odd number. . . not an odd group, just an odd number of riders in it. If you're fence sitting, let one of us know. Many of us are checking the sites for oddball things to see and visit! RoadsideAmerica.com probably has the largest stockpile of info on this!
I received my replacement LED lamps for my Motolights and am pretty psyched to get them installed! Thanks to Tony for giving me the info to order them!

SNOW??
What is it about Mother's Day and snow? Here it is, Mother's Day, less than 2 weeks to the Spring ride, the temperature has dropped to the mid 30's and there's an accumulation of snow on the ground! Meanwhile, its bak to work tomorrow and our plans continue for the 5/25 departure. I think we have work orders for Ed Cook's bike to check the brakes and to replace the halogen bulbs on my motolights with LED's.

Cinco de Mayo is over. . . great party at Stu and Maddy's. . . some new ideers!
We're pretty set on a counter clockwise route to stay out of the Rolling Thunder congestion in the DC area during Memorial Day. MLB is not cooperating with giving us a game to see on the route. Cincinnati looks like the best prospect on Monday vs Cleveland (Interleague play). Weather permitting, we talked about departing Syracuse on 5/25 from Dunkin Donuts on 7th North St at 0800 for a run to the Waffle House #1773 (owned by Heavenly Waffles, LLC) in Scranton, before turning west to Cleveland . That's weather permitting.
I stumbled onto Snook's Dream Car Museum in Bowling Green, OH, as a possible stop. It's just south of Toledo and perhaps an hour west of Cleveland.
We're kicking around the idea of another visit to the Wright Patterson AFB Museum in Dayton, a spot we've found to be a great visit! Looking forward to that if it happens! Nearby is the Co. 7 Barbecue, a BBQ restaurant owned by a bunch of FF's and they cater to FF's.
Cincinnati or surrounding area remains a possibility.
Let's get some chatter going to fill in the blanks!

24 Days and a wake up. . .
It's that time of year, again! Robins are showing up in our yard (one actually tried to do a kamikaze imitation through my dining room bay window), buds on the trees and, most importantly, the sound of motorcycles is everywhere! We're 25 days from our 13th annual Spring ride and the roughly 6-8 of us who are riding this year are chattering back and forth with ideas on where to go and what to see. We're somewhat limited by time vs. distance and the desire to get off the "slab" and spend some quality time on back roads or country roads. We've traveled anywhere from 1700 miles up to 3350 miles during our week long adventure and we've been able to fine tune what we're looking for. If we do 100 miles or up to 300 miles in a day, depending on the sightseeing that goes into the day, we're good with that. I think the days of us riding 700 plus miles as a group of 6-8 riders (or some years up to 12-14 riders) is over. It's OK when there's two of us, but that's the limit for big mile days. So, here we are, 24 days and a wake up away from our ride out of Syracuse on May 25. At this point, we have only one destination that we are seriously looking forward to and that is the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, VA.
